Today's big event was a huge pumpkin carving contest. After lectures, everyone headed down to the game room in the basement where they had candy, music, and about twelve pumpkins set up.
There was a team for each pumpkin and they all got an hour to finish.

I wasn't on a team, so I got to hang out with friends and walk around watching the progress on all the pumpkins.

It's incredible how much talent there is here. So many people are athletic, musically gifted, artistic, stylish...it's so much fun to watch people with such different backgrounds bring similar talents together to create such incredible things.

By the end of the hour, there was a helmet like the ones from the movie 300, a cat, a batman symbol, a wolf, the Torchbearers symbol, the lion king, an intricate flower pattern, the face of Bodenseehof's principal Peter Reid (that actually looked like him), and the little mermaid done by Lia.

All were great, but Lia's little mermaid and the flower pattern won and both teams got free ice cream bars as a prize. Overall, a very fun night:)
